Suspect Arrested After Barricade Situation in Lebanon

UPDATE 3:40 p.m. – The suspect has been detained. Authorities are beginning to clear the scene. After several hours and multiple unsuccessful attempts using specialized equipment, it was determined that SWAT officers would need to physically enter the barricaded room.

Officers, along with K9 Donner, entered the room and located 42-year-old Roger Watts of Nashville hiding in a bedroom closet.

Watts was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Wilson County Jail.

Investigators recovered loaded handgun from the closet.

Watts who had been convicted of multiple felonies, was wanted out of both Wilson County and Rutherford County on the following charges:
Felony Failure to Appear (Bond Jumping) – underlying charges: Aggravated Domestic Assault and Theft of Property ($10,000–$60,000)
Failure to Appear – underlying charges: DUI 1st and Implied Consent

Two counts of Violation of Probation – underlying charge: Attempted Aggravated Child Abuse
Additional charges are pending from our department.

Lebanon Police responded to an incident Monday at Crosswinds Condominiums involving a wanted suspect who has barricaded himself inside a home.

Police say the activity is isolated to a single residence and there is no threat to the public. Any residents needing evacuation have already been safely evacuated.

As a precaution, nearby schools were placed on a soft lockdown. Officials say updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
