So Nashville, a shop specializing in tee shirts, caps, stickers and more, has moved from their South Cumberland Street location in Lebanon to one right next door to the Capitol Theater. The business started out online in 2012 under the name “Riverfront Station” with a focus on hockey, but they were soon asked to create other snappy designs by friends and associates and became “So Nashville” in 2017. They moved into their new brick-and-mortar store in April 2023.
Owners Scot and Jessica Reutzel kicked off their original business one month before they got married. They started “Riverfront Station” with a focus on their love of hockey with hockey-inspired tees. Now they have a son and daughter, and their popular line of tees has expanded to more sports and additional themes.
“We wanted to make something that brought fans together like a ‘secret handshake’ you can wear,” they explained on Facebook. “Everywhere we wore our tees people would ask where we got them and that’s when we knew we had something great!”
They opened their first brick-and-mortar store in an old 1930s bungalow house on 16th Avenue, part of Music Row, on June 15, 2018. Unfortunately, the building was eventually slated for the wrecking ball, to become replaced by an office building. They moved the store closer to home, and then moved again to its current location.
The new store has an industrial feel with cement floors, corrugated metal walls, and metal shaded pendant lights. The store is also open and inviting with lots of wood accents and floor space to grow.
It is truly a family affair. New shirt design ideas even come from their young son, who had the idea for their Nashville ball tees. All t-shirts are unisex, unless otherwise noted.
One thing they are highlighting in the new store is their Cedar City tees, sweatshirts and caps, Lebanon, Tennessee being called the Cedar City. It received its name from the biblical Cedars of Lebanon, and the abundance of these trees growing in the area, especially in Cedars of Lebanon State Park.
Recently, So Nashville has partnered with Little Bits Crafting Store to bring customers the best in local, pun-inspired products. They will be offering Little Bits soy-based, hand-poured candles with sports-inspired scents such as Preda-Tarts, Go Big Orange Danish and Titan Up-Side Down Cake. These candles come in frosted jars, tin containers or as a flame-free wax melt.
Conveniently located on the square next to Capitol Theater, So Nashville can supply customers with comfy threads to show off their team spirit, city and state pride, as well as a love of country music and much more.
