William David Hampton age 81 of Watertown, died Tuesday morning, July 21, 2026 at his residence.
Born June 30, 1945 in Stanley, Wisconsin, he was the son of William David Hampton and Minnie Mae Johnson Hampton. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Priscilla Joary Borthick-Hampton; his sister, Hazel; brothers, Frank, Floyd and Harry Hampton and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Wrye.
Bill was a graduate of Lebanon High School, he was a welder and mechanic and enjoyed restoring Alfa Romeos. He was a rancher and farmer but his true love was training horses.
He is survived by his daughter, Lara Hampton-Lopez and her husband, Jota; grandson, Javier Lopez; brother, John (Dina) Hampton and sisters, Judy Wrye and Darlene (Eric) Warren. Bill is also survived by a sister-in-law, Faye Borthick and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill had made an anatomical donation to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026 at Hunter Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till service time on Saturday.
