Clifton Wayne Anderson age 72 formerly of Watertown, died Saturday morning, Dec. 20, 2025 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro.
Born May 10, 1953, he was the son of the late Valter and Eliza Ashford Anderson and was preceded in death by his brothers, T.J. and Billy Anderson and a sister, Dorothy Davis.
He owned and operated Wayne’s Trucking, hauling and delivering rock and dirt. Wayne was a member of Poplar Hill Baptist Church and attended Crossroads Church in Lebanon.
Wayne is survived by his sons, Christopher Wayne Anderson of Statesville and Jason (Amy) Anderson of Lebanon and their children, Tyler and Lillianna Anderson. His sisters, Frances Smith of Lebanon and Annie Ashford and her husband, Tom McNear of Watertown; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025 at Hunter Funeral Home with Randy Anderson officiating. Visitation 3-8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. till service time on Tuesday. Interment will follow at Eastern Gate Cemetery at Poplar Hill Baptist Church.
