Terry Wayne Jenkins, a beloved husband, father, and friend, peacefully passed away at home on November 20, 2024, at the age of 72.
Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Terry was a lifelong resident of Mount Juliet, Tennessee.
A 1970 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School, Terry furthered his education at Tennessee Tech. He dedicated over three decades of his life to the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) and pursued his passion for land surveying, owning Jenkins and Jenkins Land Surveying. Terry was a man of simple pleasures. He found joy in the quiet moments by the pool, the satisfying scent of food sizzling on the grill, and the cheerful laughter of children.
His love for the outdoors led him to the serene waters, where he often spent his days fishing. Woodworking was another hobby that brought him peace and creativity.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Jessie W. Jenkins, his mother, Willa D. Jenkins, and a brother, Billy Jenkins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Christie Creekmur Jenkins; his son, Jeremy W. Jenkins; his brother, Jerry D. (Patti) Jenkins; and his special niece, Kathryn Creekmur. He will be deeply missed by numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm with service following.
