Teresa Stewart of Madison, Tennessee passed away on March 24th, 2025, at the age of 74. Ms. Stewart was preceded in death by her parents William and Martha Brooks. She is survived by her sister Vicki Brinkley (Jerry), son Ken (Denisia) Stewart, daughter Kristena (Jim); grandsons Jamie (Sarah) and Chris; and great-grandson (James).
She spent her career in the medical field, starting as a Candy Striper (1968), Registered Medical Assistant (1981), Certified Medical X-ray Technologist (1986), and X-ray Technician/Phlebotomist (2000).
She enjoyed rose gardens, gardening, and butterflies. Traveling, family vacations, and visiting Gatlinburg and the Great Smokey Mountains National Park were always a treat.
She was passionate about trout fishing with her father along the Caney Fork River near Center Hill Dam. She loved shopping trips with her daughter, Kristena, especially the door buster Black Friday sales. “Shop ’til you drop” was her favorite saying during these trips.
Spending time with family during Thanksgiving and Christmas were a must.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 11:00am-2:00pm with memorial services to follow at Beech Grove United Methodist Church, 4318 Brick Church Pike, Nashville, TN 37189.
