Sue Setliff passed away on July 12, 2024 at age 85.
Linda Sue Hines Setliff was born in Nashville TN to Verna Pauline Bentley and Vernon Virgle Hines.
Sue’s career was as hairdresser for over 50 years. She was one of those wonderful women that was bursting with a mama’s love and compassion for everybody. Her warm beautiful smile and phenomenal baking and cooking skills put everyone at ease. She enjoyed being in the yard with her plants and flowers, and fishing.
She loved riding Harleys with her husband Richard. When she wasn’t riding, you could find her at Low Key Cycles. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing tennis and was a probowler winning many trophies.
Sue is survived by her husband and best friend of 43 years, Richard Setliff; children: Tommy Huggins, Elmer “Bubba” Huggins, and Renee Bond (Wayne Carr); grandchildren: Jerry Lee Huggins, Alan Wayne Jahns, Angela Prior, Lisa Huggins, Justin Huggins, Dustin Huggins, Ricky Huggins Jr., Jesse Huggins, Chris Huggins, and Clint Hayes; sisters: Janie Brown and Elaine Gilbert; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and great and great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by son Ricky Dale Huggins, parents Pauline and Vernon Hines, brothers Gene and Vernon Hines, and sisters Evelyn Smith and Patricia Orman.
