Baird, Stanley, of Mt. Mt. Juliet, passed away on February 9, 2025.
Stanley was a people person, kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many.
He was a United States Army veteran serving in the tanker division in Germany. He enjoyed many reunions with his tanker buddies all over the United States.
He was a member of Cooks United Methodist Church and Mt. Juliet Masonic Lodge. He retired from Lee Company and helped train a young Bill Lee, our current governor, in service for the company.
Stanley loved Nascar, his workshop, and fried catfish. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to all. He was loved by many and will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mabel Robinson Baird, brother Charles Baird DVM, Son in law Tim Jones.
Stanley is survived by:
- Wife of 67 years Loretta Baird
- Daughters – Becky (Larry) Dison and Rachel Jones
- Grandchildren – Jessica (Chris) Lewis, Katie (Matthew) Elfrink, Abby Dison and Ben Jones
- Great Grandchildren – Christopher Lewis and Honey Lewis
