Shannon Moser, age 92, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, February 17th, 2024 at his residence.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ada Belle and Ervin Faulkner; son, Charles “Chuck” Floyd who passed in 1964; sister and brother-in-law Francis and Clay Dixon and brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Billie Moser.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Carolyn Moser; daughter, Deborah “Debbie” (John) Ashe; son, Robert “Bobby” (Lolita) Moser; grandchildren, Shannon (Nat) Shockley, Douglas (Audrey) Ashe, Carli (Jackie) Clowers, Nathan Moser and Katelyn “Katey” (Isiah) Seals; great-grandchildren, Noah, Eli, Wyatt, Adaline, Connor, Estelle, Taylor, Madison, Holley, Lucy and Levi.

He was a long time member of Immanuel Baptist Church. After graduating from Lebanon High School in 1950, he joined the US Navy and participated in the building of Thule Air Force Base in Thule, Greenland. During Navy service, he sailed to Greenland, Ireland, Scotland, England, Denmark, France, Spain, Sardinia, Italy, Greece, Rhodes, Turkey, Sicily, Algeria, Morocco, Jamaica, Panama, Virgin Is., Puerto Rico (12 times), Bermuda, Havana Cuba, where he stood Shore Patrol guard on the statue of Jose’ Marti, to keep American Sailors away from the statue in Nov. 1953.

After Navy discharge, he obtained a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from MTSU Murfreesboro. After graduation Shannon enjoyed a career in design & project engineering in Decatur, AI., Lebanon, TN., Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Chicago, Kentucky, Nevada, Nashville, Gallatin and New Johnsonville, TN, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, and genealogy research.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 21st from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Partlow Funeral Chapel (233 West Main St. Lebanon, TN.) The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 22nd at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service at Immanuel Baptist Church. Pastor Jeff Pratt and Pastor Darrin Reynolds will officiate the service. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
