Rosalyn Iris Moss, lovingly known to many as Rose, 86, was born on Thursday, May 4th, 1939, in Nashville, Tennessee and was received Home with great joy by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025.

The Funeral Service, conducted by Jay Covington, will be held in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 27th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.

She is survived by children, Rebecca Woodard, Raymond (Kim) Moss, Donnie (Mary) Moss, Anthony (Tabatha) Moss, and Sam Moss; grandchildren, Hunter Woodard, Lauren Woodard, Shelby Woodard, Josh Moss, Nicole Moss, Angela Moss, Ray Thompson, Noble Thompson, Dawson Wooten, Makayla Moss, Matt Moss, Joseph Covington, Sydney Moss, and Joseph Moss; siblings, J.D. Vaughn, Jr., Sharon (Dennis) Stone, and Carmen Adkisson; 12 great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by loving husband of 65 years, Donald “Don” Moss; parents, Jesse Dalton Vaughn, Sr. and Ruby Burklow Vaughn; granddaughter, Samantha Moss; siblings, Randall Vaughn, Wayne Vaughn, Wesley Vaughn, Doug Vaughn, David Vaughn, Billy Vaughn, and Joyce Hardiman.

Rose met the love of her life, Don at church in Nashville, Tennessee and the two have been together since they were 15 years old. They truly had a love like none other. Shortly after Rose and Don wed four years later, Donald enlisted in the United States Air Force and served our country for eight years, and the couple lived in various cities and states before moving back closer to home in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.

Mrs. Rose was a proud member of Living Springs Baptist Church in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. She was a great mother to her children and an even greater “Granma” to her grandbabies. Rose and Don enjoyed participating in any church activity they could whether it was Vacation Bible School, Wednesday Night Supper, or Shut In. The two also loved traveling, fishing, and camping together.
