Ronald Lloyd Kippes, age 80 of Lebanon, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and caregivers.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Albert Kippes; and granddaughter, Alexis Rae (Ali) Tipton.

He is survived by his 100 year old mother, Martha Kippes; daughters, Rhonda (Bobby) Robinson & Ashley (Shane) Tipton; former wife of 44 years Cheryl Kippes; brother, Kent Kippes; sister, Marsha Parrish; grandchildren, Savannah (Logan) Yates & Kendall Tipton; great-grandchild, Leighton Tipton.

Ron Kippes graduated Donelson High School in 1960. He worked at Maxwell Drugs in Donelson where he was a pharmacy technician and soda jerk to pay his way through pharmacy school.

He graduated University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in Memphis in 1965 where he was an officer of Phi Delta Chi fraternity. He married Cheryl Warmath in 1964.

He worked at Dunklin Drugs, Big K Pharmacy, and Buckeye Drugs in Lebanon. In 1974 he started one of the first pharmacies in Mt. Juliet, Dixie Drugs, spanning 26 years. Dixie Drugs was a pillar in the Mt. Juliet community because of his love and compassion for the people he served.

He was a great father to his 2 daughters, Rhonda and Ashley. He loved his sons-in-law, Bobby and Shane, as they always laughed together. His 3 grand girls, Ali, Savannah, and Kendall adored him and the last baby he held was his great-granddaughter, Leighton. For the last 8 years, his caregivers lived with him and loved him like a father. He was a great mentor to these men. These men were his legs and lifeline.

Special thanks to Daniel Knauss, Karl Penta, Wes Morgan, JD Algood, James Morris, Jimmy Williams, and lastly the ever committed and never tiring Keith Gaines and Tyler Ames.

He served in the National Guard for 7 years. He loved traveling the world, playing golf and tennis, was a conservative and enjoyed history. He loved Jesus, was baptized in 2016, and attended Joy Church.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening October 25th, 5-8 p.m. at the Christian Life Chapel, 105 Holloway Drive, Lebanon, TN 37087. Visitation Wednesday, October 26th at the chapel from 11:00 a.m. until The Celebration of Life service at 12:00 noon. Jammie Bush of Burning Bush Ministries will be officiating while Briley Lemley, Jordan Burgess Lauer and Lee Aguilera will share their musical gifts.

Interment will follow the services in the family cemetery, 2049 Cairo Bend Road, Lebanon, Tn 37087.

Active pallbearers, Keith Gaines, Tyler Ames, Wes Morgan, James Morris, Jimmy Williams, & Jake Abston.
