Ronald Franklin Hoffmann, 69, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on October 12, 2024.
Ronnie was born June 22, 1955 to the late Richard (Dick) and Dorothy (Dot) Hoffmann.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Ledbetter Hoffmann, children, Chaz (Ivie) Hoffmann, Nashville, Kayla (Dan) Kennedy, Fairview, step-children; Beth Wheeler, Justin Wheeler (Suzanne), and Jennifer Premo (Dino), Mt Juliet; brother; David Hoffmann, Lebanon; grandchildren; Clara, Lucy and Tommy Hoffmann, Ryan and Austin Kennedy; step-grandchildren; Kaleigh (Dylan) Baker, Lilly Hunter, Madeline Hunter, Paisley Premo, Houston Wheeler, Levi Wheeler, Presley Premo, Josie Premo, Stella Wheeler; step great-grandchild; Finley Baker.
Ronnie managed Hoffmann’s Body Shop for 35 years, earning a reputation as the best in his field before retiring in 2020. He was an avid car enthusiast, who loved drag racing, supporting his children as junior dragsters, car shows, camping, singing and listening to Christian music, and spending time with his family. Ronnie gave selflessly serving many years as a deacon at Una Baptist church and through organizations like Room in the Inn and Gladeville Auto Ministry, His unparalleled knowledge of automobiles and engines made him a go-to problem solver for many. Ronnie was loved and respected by all who knew him and will be deeply missed by his family and a host of devoted friends. We take comfort in knowing he is in heaven and free from suffering.
His Celebration of Life will be held October 18 at Sellars Funeral Home, Mt Juliet, with Mark Satterfield officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 am, with service following at 2 pm. https://www.sellarsfh.com

The family would like to thank Amedisys Home Health and Palliative Care, and Alive Hospice for their care and support through this journey. They are also eternally grateful to family and friends who prayed, sent gift cards, brought meals, loaned medical equipment, supported and encouraged. Ronnie was deeply loved, and that affection was evident until his very last day on earth.
