Rocklan Parris, age 26, of Hermitage, TN, passed away on June 11, 2025. Rocklan was a light in the lives of all who knew him. His deep love for family and friends shone through in every interaction, and his joyful spirit and sense of humor brought warmth to every room he entered.
An avid adventurer, Rocklan found his greatest joy outdoors—riding dirt bikes, navigating trails in a razor, spending time at the lake, or chasing any thrill that made him feel alive. He often said, “If you’re not getting dirty, you’re not having fun,” and he lived each day with that free-spirited passion.
He shared an unshakable bond with his three brothers, marked by fierce loyalty and love. Rocklan was loved beyond measure by his parents, who cherished him deeply. His vibrant personality, infectious smile, and undeniable zest for life left a lasting impression on everyone privileged to know him.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Faye Parris Jr. and Gary Gentry. Rocklan is survived by his father, Paul (Anne) Parris III; mother, Beth-Anne (Clete) Sawyer; brothers, Ryan (Kelsey) Parris, Riley Parris, and Rider Elmore; niece, Ellianna Parris; nephews, Hayden and Jessie Parris; and grandmother, Janice Gentry.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Bond Memorial Chapel with visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and the service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
