Celebrate Mt. Juliet’s Own NASA Hero at Barry Wilmore’s Hometown Homecoming

The community is invited to a special community event honoring one of Mt. Juliet’s own—NASA astronaut Barry Wilmore.

Mt. Juliet, let’s give a hero’s welcome to Barry “Butch” Wilmore! He’s walked among the stars, and now he’s coming home.

Barry Wilmore’s Hometown Homecoming is set to take place on Saturday, June 28th, 2025 at 11 A.M. at Charlie Daniels Park (1075 Charlie Daniels Pkwy, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122).

City of Mt. Juliet Mayor James Maness and Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto will present official proclamations

A portion of North Mt. Juliet Road will be named in Barry’s honor
Barry will take the stage to share a few words
And you’ll have a chance to take a photo with our hometown hero

This is a moment Mt. Juliet will never forget—let’s come together and show our pride!
