Bull, Robert Williams “Bob”, age 94 of Mt. Juliet, a slave of the Lord Jesus Christ, passed away leaving behind a legacy of dedication and service. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Era and later retired from GE after 36 years of service. A faithful member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet, Bob served as a deacon and taught Sunday School for over 60 years. He was also elected to the Baptist Sunday School Board (Lifeway) from 1965 to 1971. His passion for public service led him to serve as Vice Mayor and later as Mayor of Mt. Juliet, making a lasting impact on his community. Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Buford Monroe and Myrtle Nancy Williams Bull, brother and sister-in-law, T.C. and Jamie Bull, sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Arthur Reed, and sisters, Maude and Emma Bull.

Bob is survived by:

  • Wife – Jane Thompson Bull
  • Daughters – Valerie B. (Larry) Phillips and Michal B. (Stuart) Knarr
  • Grandchildren – Curtis W. (Stefanie) Phillips, Michael V. (Haley) Phillips, Kaitlin N. Knarr and Dylan Knarr
  • Great Grandchildren – Eva Phillips, Vincent Phillips, Victoria Phillips, Jensen Phillips, Isla Phillips, and Nora Phillips.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet with Pastor Phillip Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. The Pallbearers will be Larry Phillips, Curtis Phillips, Michael Phillips, Stuart Knarr, Dylan Knarr, and Daniel Reed. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Bob Bull Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Bond Memorial Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
