Robert LeRoy ‘Bobby’ Reid, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee passed away at his home on August 1, 2024 at the age of 94.
Robert was born May 17, 1930 to William and Margaret Reed in Mancelona, Michigan.
Robert was a proud veteran of the US Military, first entering the Navy and later moving to the Air Force retiring in July 1971 after 20 years of service.
His middle years were devoted to caring for his parents in Florida until their passing when his lifelong passion for music brought him to Nashville where he could frequently be found picking his guitar and playing locally.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents William and Margaret “Ella” of Homestead Florida as well as his brothers Gerald Reid of San Diego, California and Leo Dennis (Eileen Reed) of Taneytown, Maryland.
He is survived by his sister-in-law Imogene Reid and numerous nieces and nephews from his two brothers’ families.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at Bond Memorial Chapel on September 7th at 11:30 am. He will be interred in Arlington National Cemetery.
