Richard Lee Drouin passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Woolard.
Richard was a graduate of Lebanon High School. He was also a Veteran of the ARMY NATIONAL GUARD, where he served 6 years as an aircraft mechanic. This is where Richard’s obsession for aviation began. Richard had a love for building and flying RC planes. Richard also built a full size airplane. The planes he built were spectacular.
Richard worked at Nissan in his younger years then he worked at the Tennessean Newspaper for over 15 years as a mechanical engineer. He loved his job and the people he worked with. Later he worked at Nissan.
He had many hobbies including motorcycles, racing, RC aircraft, cooking, and working on cars and motorcycles. He did transmission work that he learned from Mr. Transmission himself, his father, the late Bobby Woolard. Richard loved all things cars and motorcycles, and could fix anything. Richard also was a brown belt in karate and received many trophies.
If you knew Richard, you could not mistake his laugh if you heard it. Richard was a very kind person and would help anyone he could. He was loved and he will be missed.
