Mrs. Becky Yahola passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was a proud member of the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians, deeply devoted to preserving and celebrating her American Indian heritage. A passionate advocate for American Indian rights and culture, Becky dedicated much of her life to ensuring that her people’s stories, traditions, and voices were honored and heard.
Becky was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, whose heart and home were always open. She had a gift for making everyone feel special, welcomed, and loved—especially around her table. Known for her delicious home cooking, she found great joy in preparing meals for her family, particularly her famous pancakes for her grandchildren, which they will fondly remember forever.
An avid sports fan, Becky proudly cheered for her beloved Oklahoma Sooners, rarely missing a game. She also loved visiting farmers markets, collecting fresh ingredients and local treasures, and could often be found with a good book in hand or watching her favorite cooking shows, eager to try a new recipe.
In her quieter moments, Rebecca enjoyed long rides through the countryside, often leaving for hours to find peace and reflection on the open road. Her life was one of love, laughter, and deep connection—to her family, her heritage, and the world around her.
Her legacy of warmth, generosity, and strength will live on through all who were blessed to know her.
