Rebecca Linette Amos, known by her loved ones as Becky, of Lebanon, Tennessee, went home to our Lord and Savior on the morning of January 9th, 2025, at the age of 51.
Becky was born on March 5th, 1974, in Salem, Illinois, to Cathy Green Schwegler. She grew up in Texico, Illinois, where she attended Kell Grade School, then later moved to Lebanon, Tennessee, in 1989 and graduated from Mt. Juliet High School in 1992.
Becky was driven and intelligent; she would go on to attend Johnson University, University of Tennessee and finally graduate from Trevecca Nazarene University. With this degree she poured into her work as a medical office manager before moving on to implementation and support of electronic medical record keeping.
After graduating college Becky fell in love with her husband Roger Amos. In their 28 years of marriage, they had three amazing kids, William Amos, Emmet Cooper Amos, and Isabelle Amos. Throughout her life she was an amazing mother who was widely known for her dedication and support for her children. She never missed a play, a game, or a chance to show up for those she loved.
Her home church of New Heart Christian church will never forget the ways she helped and comforted those around her. As one of the founding members of New Heart, her presence will be a loss that is sorely felt; but the joy of her salvation and the hope in Christ will be our comfort.
Friends and family remember her for her understanding and compassion, combined with her stubbornness. She may have rarely been on time, but she always made up for it by being the last one to leave.
Becky is survived by her husband, Roger Amos; mother, Cathy Schwegler; children, William Amos, Emmet Cooper Amos, and Isabelle Amos; brother, Adam Schwegler, and sister, Dani Wood.
She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Schwegler.
A funeral will be held on January 17th at New Heart Church, 49 Business Park Dr, Lebanon, TN 37090. Visitation from 1:00 PM, until service time at 3:00 PM.
All are welcome to attend, but for those who are unable, the service will be live-streamed at the following link, https://www.youtube.com/live/-_oC03tcAAY
