Patricia Faith Bledsoe passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 peacefully at home, at the age of 86.
She was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Virgina Newbold of Owensboro, KY; husband, Argyle Ray Faith; second husband, James Bledsoe; and sister, Virgina Lucille Brumley.
Survived by her children, Cindy Faith Brady, Mark (Laura) Faith, Ginger (Barry) Crutcher, and Derrick Faith; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was born in Owensboro, KY during the flood of ‘37 and the doctor came to the house in a boat. She met a young man who was 12 (Argyle Ray Faith), when she was 8 at a church camp. They married when she was 16 and he was 20.
He called her from college and told her he felt called to be a preacher and was worried she wouldn’t like that. She said that the Lord had spoken to her at a fireside service at camp when she was 13 and told her she would be a preacher’s wife, so she had always known he was going to be a preacher if she was to marry him. So, they began a life of ministry together in the Cumberland Presbyterian denomination. They pastored churches in Tennessee and Kentucky until 1976 when they felt a calling to establish a non-denominational spirit filled church and established Christian Life Chapel in Lebanon, TN where she continued to Pastor until her death.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the Christian Life Chapel, 105 Holloway Dr. Funeral services will be held at the church on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
