Mr. Michael Preston Cawthon of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, he was 74 years old.
He was a wonderful man who will be missed by many. Mike graduated from Mt. Juliet High School in 1966. He then served in the Army for 8 years from 1968-1976 and was an X-Ray Tech until 1980. After that, he proudly served in law enforcement for 30 years. Mike loved guns and was a firearms instructor. One of his favorite hobbies was arrowhead hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Jessie Cawthon.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Cawthon; brother, Steve (Terry) Cawthon; children, Michael Shawn (Lisa) Cawthon, Dawn (Scott) Atkins, Maria (Travis) Ivory, Julianna (Matt) Witt; grandchildren, Chase, Tyler, Shae, Shelby, Hayden, Carolanne, Xavier, Tasia, Damon, Devon, Remi; great-grandson, Everett; and niece, Brooke.
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 14th at 2 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Brother Danny officiating. The Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. The Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13th from 4-8 pm and on Monday, March 14th from 1 pm until the time of service at 2 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet.
