Michael-John-Eiss

With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the sudden passing of Michael John Eiss, a devoted son, brother, friend, and faithful follower of Jesus. Michael was called home on Sept. 24, 2023, at the young age of 23, following a tragic accident.

After 13 years of trying, Michael was born as a miracle child to John and Tamala Eiss on Sept. 9, 2000. Michael grew up in a loving Christian household, where faith, love, family, fun, and giving were central values. From a young age, he exhibited a quiet strength, unwavering dedication to his family, and a quirky and dry sense of humor that was always a joyous surprise. He lived his life with a sense of purpose while placing other’s needs front and center. He had a contagious smile, that when it appeared, could brighten the darkest of days.

Michael was working hard to make his dreams a reality, while always sacrificing for his family. Michael and his brother, Matthew were best friends. The two were inseparable. Michael had a passion for cars to include repairing and parts sales, which he pursued with enthusiasm and dedication, and had turned that passion into a thriving business, Renegade Automotive LLC. He built that business where his brother wanted to live so as to support Matthew in the pursuits of his dreams near Nashville, TN.

In his short but impactful life, Michael etched a lasting mark on the lives of those around him, often without having to say a single word.

Despite the tragic and untimely nature of his passing, we find comfort in the knowledge that Michael is now at peace, embraced in the loving arms of his Savior. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, strength, and hard work that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. Michael’s legacy lives on in his parents, John and Tamala Eiss, brother, Matthew Eiss, Grandparents, Shirley and George Barber, uncles and aunts, and some very special cousins.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers during this difficult time.

A memorial service to celebrate Michael’s life and faith will be held at the church he faithfully attended with his family his whole life before moving to Tennessee, Life Church of the Nazarene, in Watertown, NY, on Saturday, October 7, at 10:00 a.m. At that time, friends and family will come together to honor his memory and find comfort in their shared faith.

May the soul of Michael John Eiss rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire us to live a life of faith, love, and sacrificial giving.
