Mary McMillin, age 95 of the Statesville community, died Friday morning, May 12, 2023 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.
Born Sept. 18, 1927 in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Mae Wade James.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow McMillin, Sr. in 1985; a son, James Ollie McMillin in 2015 and sisters, Gladys (Bunny) Sharpe and Muriel James.
Mary was a member of the Watertown First Presbyterian Church and retired as secretary of Watertown Elementary School.
She is survived by her sons, Woody McMillin and his wife, Dagny of Nashville and John McMillin and his wife, Arlene of Lascassas; grandchildren, Cheryl (Scott) Kelley, Leslie (Jason) Moore, Jessica (Brian) McMillin, Chase (Caitlin) McMillin; great-grandchildren, Austin and William Alex Jones, Mary Alice and Oliver Moore, Josie and Wyatt McMillin; daughter-in-law, Brenda McMillin.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Bo Burgener and Bro. Tim Diffenderfer officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till service time on Sunday. Interment will at Jennings Cemetery. https://www.hunterfuneral.com
