Marie Taylor passed away on June 14, 2024 at age 85.
Margie Marie Crawford Taylor was born in DeKalb County TN to Mary Pauline Caldwell and John Crawford.
She married Harry Taylor and truly loved being a wife, mother, and homemaker. She never met a stranger and could talk to anyone about anything. She loved people and she loved church and enjoyed cooking for everyone. Babysitting the grandchildren, visiting the Smoky Mountains, and cleaning her home were also big joys of hers.
Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by husband of 65 years, Harry Taylor, parents Pauline and John Crawford, and sister Mildred Crawford.
She is survived by children: Mark (Mary Ann) Taylor and Lisa (Johnny) Plumlee; grandchildren: Ashley Kline, Marshall (Natalie Davis) Taylor, Lindsey Plumlee, and Kendal Plumlee; 2 great-grandchildren: Rylee Kline and Kelby Kline; soon to be great-grandson: Beau Sasser; siblings: Jean Taylor, Jack (June) Crawford, Ione Wilkerson, and Faye (Nick) McCracken; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Terry Carver, is at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church (1702 Sparta Pike), Lebanon TN. Visitation at the church will begin at noon on Thursday. Interment in Wilson County Memorial will follow the service. Pallbearers: Marshall Taylor, Johnny Plumlee, and the Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
