Margie Nell Robinson Jennings was born Aug. 23, 1940 in Watertown, daughter of the late Jesse and Ruby Woodard Robinson and departed this life on Friday evening, Aug. 25, 2023 at the age of 83 years.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Dean Robinson and a nephew, Mitch Robinson.
Margie was first and foremost a mother and homemaker. In addition to her four children, she kept many other children in her home and was lovingly known as Aunt Margie.
She was an Uber driver before Uber was ever invented, transporting children to/from ball practices. After her children were grown, she worked at the Texas Boot Factory and retired from Watertown High School Cafeteria.
She and Doug traveled and enjoyed camping. Margie was a selfless and giving lady and loved spending time with her family – especially proud of her grands and great-grands.
Margie is survived by the love of her life Doug Jennings – Doug and Margie were married 66 1/2 years. She is survived by her four children, Jan Jennings Clayborne (Andy), Allen Jennings (Becky), Kristy Jennings Corley (James), Randy Jennings (Tammy); 11 grandchildren, Jennifer Bowers, Michael (Amy) Clayborne, Chrissy Jennings and her fiance, Cody, Kayla (Stephen) Murray, Randall (Allison) Jennings, Brandon (Kelsey) Corley, Joshua (Cecilia) Jennings, Alana Jennings, Alisha Jennings, Ashley Hobbs and Kayla Patton; great grandchildren, Annabelle and Luke Bowers, Breanna (Robbie) Woodard, Braxtin and Berkleigh Corley, Walker Jennings, Raylynn and Hazley Jennings, Jude Murray and Joey Jennings, Houston Patton, Sky Hobbs and Kylee Hobbs; and nephew, Ricky (Christy) Robinson; brother-in-law, Jerry (Jo) Jennings.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023 at Hunter Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Edwards officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday and 2 p.m. till service time on Tuesday. Pallbearers, Randall Jennings, Brandon Corley, Joshua Jennings, Michael Clayborne, Ricky Robinson, Ricky Martin.
