Ms. Margaret Rose Ligon was born in Lebanon on June 27, 1945 to the late Vivian Hall Ligon and Mildred Tomlinson Ligon.
She graduated top in her class from Lebanon High School in 1963. She was a very faithful member of the Adams Avenue Church of Christ. Rose was a very quiet and gentle soul. She enjoyed a simple life on the family farm tending to her home and caring for her cats. Being at home brought her much joy and contentment.
Ms. Ligon passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 at the Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her aunts, Hazel Ligon Clifford and Emma Lou Tomlinson Jones; and her uncle, Mr. Doris Eskew Ligon.
Ms. Ligon is survived by a host of extended family and friends, and her loving church family at Adams Avenue Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Ms. Margaret Rose Ligon, age 78 of Lebanon, will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 1:00 PM from the Adams Avenue Church of Christ. Bro. Stan Stevenson will officiate and interment will follow in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be: Danny Ligon, Wayne Ligon, Gary Ligon, Jason Ligon, Jonathan Thompson, Jeffrey Vantrease, Chris Tomlinson, Brad Thompson, and Daniel Maxwell.
