Lindsey Regina Abney age 44 formerly of Watertown, died Saturday evening, Dec. 6, 2025 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Born Aug. 13, 1981, she was the daughter of the late Gene and Diane Gammons Abney and was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pauline and Kenneth Haynes; aunts, Janice Hale and Sandra Hunt and uncle, Randy Gammons.
Lindsey was a 1999 graduate of Watertown High School and was a homemaker and caregiver.
She is survived by her companion of 20 years, Travis Fakes; sister, Leanne (Paul) George; brother, Michael Beau Abney; uncle, Michael (Jennifer) Haynes; nieces and nephews, Kayla (Tim) Owings, Brandon (Chelsea) George, Brooke (Zachary) Bandy, McKenna (Jacob) Boldin; and 8 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025 at Hunter Funeral Home with visitation from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and from Noon till service time on Thursday.
