Mr. Larry Gordon Downs of Lebanon, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, he was 80 years old.
Larry was born in Kalamazoo, MI, and was the son of the late, Gordon Downs and Ethel Denniston Downs.
He was a faithful member of Hermitage Hills Baptist Church where he served with the Radical Heart ministry, the ESL program, and helped in the church library amongst other ministries. He spent nearly fifteen years as a missionary in Peru, South America. He worked nearly 50 years in the Spanish Christian Publishing industry. Larry loved serving with Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Ministry. Larry also enjoyed reading, fishing and gardening.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Downs and David Downs.

10 Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Hermitage Hills Baptist Church, 3475 Lebanon Pike, Hermitage, TN with Rev. Andy Miller officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church.
