Kenneth James Newington, affectionately known by many as Ken, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee at the age of 52.
Born in San Francisco, California on Sunday, January 9th, 1972, the son of Dennis Newington and Rosemarie Pardini, grandson of Cecilia Pardini, and nephew of Kent Bush, all of whom preceded him in death.
Professionally, Ken was ambitious and dedicated, taking great pride in his career in the construction field. His commitment and drive were evident in every project that he was given. He was the type of person that would accomplish anything that he set his mind to, like receiving his Certified Public Accountant “CPA” degree later in life. Additionally, he served his community through volunteer work.
The definition of a true family man, he loved the fellowship of his family. Beyond his professional and academic achievements, Ken was a father first. His boys were his greatest accomplishment and he lived to dedicate his time to anything they were involved in.
In his spare time, you could find him supporting his home state of California through sporting events, especially the San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants.
Cherishing his memory, he leaves behind his loving wife, Leslie Newington; his sweet sons, Michael Newington and Brett Newington; his wonderful in-laws, Roger and Cindy Hector; his darling aunt, Marry Ann Bush; and his dear cousins that were more like his siblings, James Bush and Julie Ann Bush.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet on Saturday, October 5th, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ken’s honor to his favorite rescue, Love and Second Chances.
