Kathy Hitt Moody – age 78 of Lebanon passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by parents, Paul and Jeffie Hitt and her beloved pet, Snickers.

Kathy is survived by children, J.T. (Shana) Moody and Kim (Chris) Trusty; sister, Cindy (Lee) Mangrum; grandchildren, Reilly Moody (Hadley) Allison and Raegan Moody; niece, Abbey Mangrum-Morris; and great nephew, Tucker Morris.

A devoted Christian and member of Berea Church of Christ, Kathy’s faith was the cornerstone of her life.

She worked for many years at Sears, was a hostess for Cracker Barrel, and a caregiver.

Although she faced several health challenges through the years, she never lost her smile or her positive spirit. Kathy loved her family and friends dearly and never met a stranger.

She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life that brought her great joy like playing bingo, watching her favorite game shows, working word search puzzles, and collecting anything with owls. Music was always a part of her heart and home – especially country music, which influenced her entire family and filled countless cherished moments together.

Kathy will be remembered for her laughter, her kindness, and her unshakable faith in God. Her life was a reflection of love, resilience, and joy in the Lord.
