Joyce Davis of Lebanon passed away peacefully Friday, May, 24th at her residence surrounded by family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Inez Jackson; sisters, Brenda Stewart and Sandy Brumley and granddaughter, Hannah ElizabethAnn McClure.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bob Davis; son, Robert Davis; daughter Christy (Tim) McClure; grandchildren, Ashley McClure and Avery McClure; brother, James “Bud” Jackson; sisters, Kathie (Leroy) Lane, Sherrie (John) Shubert; many other loving nieces, nephews, family and special friends including Dianne Russell and Ruthie Pippin. Her furry friend Bailey will certainly miss her.
Joyce held many titles through the years including Realtor, owner and operator of Gladeville Grocery. However, she considered her most treasured role to be that of a homemaker, mother and Nonna. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, especially when spending time at the beach or creating beautiful crafts with her hands. Joyce’s warmth, kindness, and delicious cooking brought joy to all who knew her. She will be missed dearly by her family.
The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers with Gentiva Hospice, especially Miranda.
Visitation will be held on her birthday, May 31st from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at Partlow Funeral Chapel, 602 South Cumberland St. Lebanon, TN 37087.
