Joseph Marshall ‘Joey’ Brent, age 38, of Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024.
Joey was a proud combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He loved his four children and considered them his greatest contribution to this world. He had the biggest heart for his family, friends, and neighbors, and always looked out for the less fortunate.
Joey loved UT football, Braves baseball, a fresh cut yard, a home cooked meal, and a round of golf. He loved watching Eli play basketball, and they enjoyed their late nights catching up on sports headlines. He loved to cheer Haddie on playing softball and cherished their front porch conversations. He loved to play “tackle” and laugh with Ellison and Emilia.
Joey always made sure his children knew how much he loved them. His friendly smile, hearty laugh, quick wit, and bear hugs will be deeply missed by his many friends and family.

Children- Ellison and Emilia and their mother Emily, Haddie and Eli and their mother Jenna
Sister- Katelyn (Cullen) McPeak
Nieces and Nephew- Maddie, Brooklyn, and Maverick McPeak
Grandmother- Rachel Brent
Special Aunt and Uncle- Joy and Wally Gray
Dear friend- Jackie Walker
A Celebration of Life will be held for Joey at 6 pm on July 12, with visitation beginning at 5, at Providence Church in Mt. Juliet.
