Mr. James Allen “Jimmy” Malcolm age 85 of Lebanon, TN, passed away peacefully at his home November 26, 2024, following a ten years long battle with cancer. He was born May 6, 1939, in Bristol, Virginia, one of four children of the late Jack and Thelma Lunsford Malcolm. He worked as an auto mechanic most of his life and was a member of the Lebanon First Church of the Nazarene. He and his wife Dorrene have made their home in Lebanon for the last twenty three years.
In addition to his parents Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Fleenor; two brothers: Jack and Wayne Malcolm. He is survived by his wife of sixty-six and a half years, Dorrene Ramsey Malcolm; three daughters: Jane (Steve) Gahagen, Elma (Jeff) Reger, June (Troy) Phipps; son-in-law, Bob Devonshire; thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Wilson officiating. Interment will be in the Limerick Garden of Memory in Limerick, PA. Visitation Monday 10 a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center/ P.O.
