Jacob Alan “Jake” Harris, age 40 of Watertown, passed away Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at his residence.
He was born in Lebanon, Tennessee on July 5th, 1983 to the proud parents Kim and Alan (Oopie) Harris.
Jake was a loving father, brother, son, uncle, and friend. He was a graduate of the 2002 class of Watertown High School, and a loyal employee of Bond Construction.
Jake’s life was full of laughter, love for his children, and a deep appreciation for hunting, fishing, and playing cornhole. His contagious smile and laugh, illuminating the lives of family and friends with his quick wit, and his unwavering love for his children have made an everlasting mark on all who were privileged enough to know him.
Jake is survived by beloved children, Kaylynn (daughter) and Ian (son) Harris; mother, Kimberly Clark (Steve); father, James Alan Harris (Shelley); brother, Matt Harris (Ashley); sister, Madisson Springer (Wyatt); step-siblings, Stephen and Laura Clark; grandmother, Janette Harris; uncles Bruce Harris (Vivian), and Lynn Harris (Kim); aunt, Vadra Dodd; nephews and niece, Cason, MJ, Mollee Harris; and a host of other family, lifelong friends and cherished coworkers.
Jake is preceded in death by grandmother, Shirley Browning; grandfather, Ernest Hartman; grandfather, Henry Harris; uncle, Greg Hartman; grandmother-in-law, Barbara Rittenberry.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Round Lick Baptist Church with Bro. Rick Burns officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 4-8 p.m. Friday, December 1, and 10 a.m. till service time on Saturday. Interment will be at the Cunningham Cemetery. https://www.hunterfuneral.com
