Eric C. Crawford, Jr. was born on September 9, 1942 in Nashville, TN, and passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 in Lebanon, TN.
He is predeceased by parents, Annie Lee and Eric Crawford, Sr.
Survived by wife, Diana L. Crawford; daughters, Kimberly D. (Randy) Phillips and Kristy L (Shane) Pomeroy; grandsons, Grant and Drew Phillips, and Kale (Kelsey) and Kody (fiancé, Gracie Williams) Pomeroy; bonus grandson, Toni Olayiwola; brother, Phil W. (Linda) Crawford of Murfreesboro, TN and sister-in-law, Barbara A. Hall of Lebanon, TN. He is also survived by pet dog, Kadet.
Mr. Crawford graduated from Lipscomb High School, and University with a B.A. degree in Business. He was employed by The National Life and Accident Insurance Company in Internal Audit. After 18 years, he transferred from Internal Audit to the Tax Department where he finished his business career with an additional 25 years of service. He earned the following designations while employed: CPA, CLU, ChFC, and FLMI.
During retirement, he performed volunteer work for The Next Door, the AARP Tax Aide program, Ezell Harding Christian School, the Walter Hill Fire Department and church. He was a current member of Maple Hill Church of Christ and previously worshipped at Rural Hill Church of Christ and at Antioch Church of Christ. Among his greatest joys was the time spent with family, especially with his grandsons whether going to movies or watching them participate in various sports.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. A Memorial Service will follow at 1 p.m. Dr. Dan Dozier will officiate.
