Jackie Bonner passed away on June 30, 2023 at age 87. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Leonard Diebold, is 11 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2023 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery will follow the service. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m.
Jackie Boston Bonner was born in Lebanon TN to Lora Boston and Joseph Edward Bonner. He retired from AVCO Aerostructures for more than 30 years. After his retirement, he worked as Chaplain for the Sheriff’s Department. Mr. Bonner was a member of Launchpoint Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and mowing.
Mr. Bonner is survived by spouse: Shannon Bonner; children: Jackie (Mark) Carpenter, Jeff Bonner, Michael (Duwana) Bonner, Connie Bonner, and Lisa Garrett; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister: Mary Bell Stover; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by mother of children Linda Bonner, son-in-law Roy Garrett, parents Lora and Joseph Bonner, and siblings William “Sonny” Bonner, Joseph Bonner Jr., Margaret Agee, Curtis Bonner, Ruth Eva Norkus, John Odell Bonner, Virgil Bonner, Ruby Mae Long and great grandson Dayton Lee Bryant.
