Jack Sprinkle, age 86 passed away Thursday, November 25th at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Everett Forrest Sprinkle & Myrtle Lillian Waldroup Sprinkle; 7 brothers & 1 sister.
Survived by wife of 66 years, Margie Jones Sprinkle; children, Lisa Walker, Teresa (Robert) Smith, & Jackie Chaney; sisters, Novella Cable, Juanita Worley and Eva Sprinkle; grandchildren, Dale(Marley) Walker, Matthew (Gabby) Duke, Christopher (Deanna) Chaney, Joshua (Savannah) Friar, and Charles Chaney; great-grandchildren, John Allen Walker, Oakley Duke, Emersyn Duke, Ivory Friar, & Iris Friar.
Mr. Sprinkle was born in Marshall, Madison County, North Carolina in 1935. He was ordained as a minister in 1965 & a graduate of Belmont College in 1979. His career in ministry was started at the Trenton Missionary Baptist Church in Trenton, MI 1966-1971 (5 years); Rayon City Baptist Church, Old Hickory, Tn., 1972-1985 (13 years) Clark’s Chapel Baptist, Lenoir, North Carolina, 1985-2001 (16 years); Trenton Missionary Baptist (Interim) 2002-2003 (16 months) & Webb’s Chapel Baptist (Interim) (6 months). His favorite Bible verse is Psalm 122:1 & his favorite Gospel: John.
Visitation will be held on Monday evening November 29th in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church from 5-8 p.m. & Tuesday, November 30th, 1:00 p.m. until funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Bro. Rodney Duckett will officiate the services. Interment, Wilson Co. Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers, Robert Smith, Matthew Duke, Joshua Friar, Chris Chaney, Christopher Chaney, & Charles Chaney.
