Funeral Service for Mrs. Frankie McCaleb Tomlinson will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 31, 2026, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Tim McCaleb officiating. Interment Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Friday 11 A.M. until service.
Mrs. Tomlinson, age 95 of Lebanon passed away July 23, 2026, at Knollwood Manor in Lafayette.
Born September 12, 1930, in Gordonsville, Tennessee, she is the daughter of the late Willie and Molly Jones McCaleb. She was one of the first nurses to work for Dr. Sam McFarland at McFarland Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, J. J. Tomlinson Jr.; two sisters, Fostyne Lain and Dimple Taylor; and four brothers, Benny, L.B., Nat, and Bill McCaleb.
She is survived by three children: Ronnie (Kathy) Tomlinson, Donnie (Deanna) Tomlinson, and Betsy (Ricky) Calvert; six grandchildren: Shane (Jordan) Roberts, Jessie (T.C.) Friday, Jeremy Tomlinson, Melanie (Scott) Townsell, Richard Tomlinson, and Wayne Clark Jr.; 13 great-grandchildren.
