Frances Diane Abney, age 72 of Watertown, passed away on Monday, Nov. 18, 2024 at her residence.
Born June 28, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Pauline and Kenneth Haynes and was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Abney; sisters, Janice Hale and Sandra Hunt; brother, Randy Gammons and her grandmother, Daisy Gammons.
Diane was a 1970 graduate of Watertown High School and a retired teacher’s aide and ISS teacher for Watertown High School.
She is survived by her children, Leanne (Paul) George, Lindsey (Travis Fakes) Abney and Michael Beau Abney; grandchildren, Kayla (Tim) Owings, Brandon (Chelsea) George, Brooke (Zachary) Bandy, McKenna (Jacob) Boldin; 7 great grandchildren; her brother, Michael (Jennifer) Haynes; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. T.J. Hewitt officiating. Visitation 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and prior to services on Thursday.
