Doris Flippen Huddleston, age 88 of Lebanon passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at home wrapped in love by her family.
She was preceded in death by parents, Alvin and Sarah Flippen; husband, Charles “Hoogie” Huddleston; brother, David Michael Flippen; and brother-in-law, August Ruff.
She is survived by children, Sherri H. (Gilbert) Gough, Karen H. Haynes, & Michael Huddleston; grandchildren, Laura Gough (Jeremy) Fralix, Ashley Gough (Paul) Gilliland, Adam (Kathryn) Dailey, Rachael Dailey, Jordan Huddleston, Jonathan (Mallory) Huddleston, & Justin Huddleston; great-grandchildren, McKayla, Alexzander, Ellie Grace, Brice, Gideon, Amirra, Rhett, and Julia; great-great granddaughter, Gianna Bella Rose; sister, Lynda Ruff and numerous other loving family members.
Doris was a remarkable woman who tackled life with determination and grace. She was a faithful member of the church and dedicated much of her time teaching others. She found immense pride in her career as Secretary/Treasurer of Noble-Dury & Associates, Tennessee’s largest advertising agency. Beyond her professional achievements, she cherished her role as wife, mother, and Nana.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. at College Hills Church of Christ, 1401 Leeville Pike, Lebanon. Visitation will be continued on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. followed by a tribute to her life.
Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
