Mr. David Wayne ‘Tubby’ Likens, age 64 of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2024 at his home.
He was born September 1, 1960 in Wilson County to the late Hollis Wendell Likens and Clorene Rich Likens.
David spent the majority of his life as a framer and carpenter in the construction industry. He attended the Church of God of Prophesy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Daniel Wayne Likens and Coty Dewayne Likens; grandson, Dani-E Coty Mills; brother, Doyle “Bobo” Likens; and nephew, Keith Agee.
David is survived by his children, Misty (Stacey) Hale of Hartsville, Tiffany (Kenny) Key of Pleasant Shade, Angel (Michael Stinson) Mills of Jamestown, Dylan (Abbey) Likens of Carthage, and Hailey (Chase Stewart) Likens of the Halls Hill Community; step-son, Anthony Harris; grandchildren, Hannah Ricketts, Savannah (William) Tucker, Sienna Ricketts, Iris Stinson, Tucker Likens, Jeremiah, Josiah, Ariyah, and soon to arrive Myleigh; great-grandchildren Kloe Reynolds and Kamiya Ricketts; sister, Theresa (Otis) Agee; brother, Randy (Becky) Likens; and several nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. David Wayne “Tubby” Likens, will be conducted on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home. Bro. Tim Blackburn will officiate, and interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 3 PM until 7 PM and again on Wednesday from 11 AM until services at 1 PM.
