Darryl Eldred, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024.
Born in Oneonta, NY, he was the son of the late Timothy Lee Eldred and Sally Rider Eldred.
Darryl graduated from Lake Jackson High School in Lake Jackson, TX, and attended Stephen F. Austin College in Nacogdoches, TX. A man of faith, he was a member of Life Point Church and Christ’s Servants Baptist Church.
Darryl had a remarkable gift: the ability to truly see people. He made everyone he encountered feel known, loved, and understood, whether through a warm conversation, a kind gesture, or simply his gentle presence.
A loving and devoted husband to Eva, Darryl was her partner and best friend. Their bond was filled with deep affection, playfulness, and unwavering support. Darryl adored Eva in a way that brought light to every room they entered together. Their love was a beautiful blend of laughter, kindness, and friendship, and they shared a life enriched with countless moments of joy and adventure. Together, they built a relationship that was a true partnership and an inspiration to all who knew them.
As a father, Darryl was both a guide and a friend to his children. He had a special way of understanding their world, finding shared interests, and creating space for honest, meaningful conversations. They treasured the moments spent lost in discussions about the things they loved, gleaning from his wisdom and insight. Darryl’s steady presence, whether through long talks or gentle advice, made him someone they could always count on.
In his professional life, Darryl excelled as a Salesforce Solutions Architect. His passion for problem-solving and technology was evident in his innovative work, which brought value and transformation to his clients and colleagues. His love of gadgets and curiosity about how things worked fueled his creativity and precision. While his expertise was admired, it was his kindness and respect for others that truly defined his career.
Darryl’s kindness and respect reached far beyond his family. He lived by example, demonstrating that true wisdom lies not just in knowledge but in how you treat others. His warm smile and thoughtful nature left an indelible mark on everyone he met, from friends and colleagues to strangers.
