Clara Mae Davis Hardin Chaffin passed away from this earthly life into her heavenly home on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on November 17, 1939, and was 84 years old.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Estes Davis and Annie Mae Ratledge Davis; her only child, David Raymond Hardin; her first husband, Willie Raymond Hardin; her second husband, Wendell Clay Chaffin; brothers, Hub Spencer Davis, John Woodrow Davis, and Joe B. Davis; sisters, Cleonia Bell Davis Ashworth, Lillian Davis Simms, and Martha Davis Amos; niece, Darlene Ashworth; and nephews, Harold Paul Ashworth Jr., Calvin Raymond Ashworth, and Phillip Davis.
She is survived by her sister, Lucille Ballard-Ross; special nephew, Randy Ballard; Roy, Larry, Joe, Billy Davis, and Tommy Ballard; nieces, Carolyn Cole, Terry Grey, Sandra Ballard, Kim Simmons, and Wendy Scott; special friends, Linda Flippen, Terry Swann, Gail, Jackie, and Tyler Barrett; as well as many other friends and family members.
Chaplain Ron Ullrich will officiate the graveside service. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 13th, at 11 a.m. in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
