Charles Morgan Pelfrey, age 89, of Crossville, TN, passed away December 23, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Glenda McAmis Pelfrey; son, William “Bill” Glenn Pelfrey; parents, Parker and Katie Pelfrey; and siblings, Billie Coffman, Jack Pelfrey, James Pelfrey, Janie Ferreira, and Kenneth Pelfrey.
Charles is survived by his son, Charles M. Pelfrey II (Vicki Ann); siblings, Anna Sholtz and Jerry Chabot; grandchildren, Katherine Smith (Richard) and Aaron Pelfrey; great-grandchildren, Lucas Pelfrey and Charles Smith, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.
A proud Navy veteran who served during the Korean War, Charles was a dedicated family man. He worked for UPS as both a driver and a supervisor, and owned an upholstery shop in Kingston, TN. Known for his hardworking nature, Charles was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, always putting in the effort to care for his family.
A private family burial will take place at a later date.
