Charles Manning, age 80 of Lebanon passed away on October 2nd, 2024.
He is preceded in death by his parents Sherman and Unity Manning; brother, James Manning and infant granddaughter Brittany Manning.
He is survived by wife of 60 years, Louise Manning; sons, Andy (Tina) Manning and Chuck (Sara) Manning; grandchildren, Justin (Karly) Manning, Ryne Manning, Jake (Katie) Manning, Ty Manning, Danielle Manning, Lindsay (James Swash) Manning and Bailey Manning; great-grandchildren, Karly Manning, Jace Manning and Tatum Brinley and sister in law Barbara Manning.
Charles was 60+ year member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was a proud graduate of Lebanon High School in the class of 1963. He found joy in bowling, serving on the State Board of Bowling and playing a pivotal role as a founding member of the Youth Amateur Bowling Association (YABA). His remarkable contributions to the sport were honored with his induction into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
In addition to his achievements in bowling, Charles devoted 38 years to TRW, where his work ethic and commitment made a lasting impact.
Outside of work and sports, Charles had a love for camping, where he created cherished memories with family and friends in the great outdoors. His warmth, enthusiasm, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Charles’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 4th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Darrin Reynolds to officiate the services.
