Charles Tolbert Lanius, Jr., of Lebanon, TN died February 10, 2026, at the age of 90. Charles was born September 11, 1935, in the Martha-Leeville community. He is survived by his daughter Lesa Lanius Stovall (Paul) of Lebanon, his grandchildren, Brianna Lynn Stovall of Hendersonville, TN, Brady (Maddie) Stovall of Dunwoody, GA, great grandchild due in August, brother Jerry Lanius of Castalian Springs, TN, and numerous nephews and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Marjorie Nell Robertson Lanius, parents Charles Tolbert Lanius, Sr. and Ruby Ophelia VanHook Lanius, brothers Paul Lanius, and Raymond (Sadie) Lanius and sister-in-law Wanda Lanius.

Charles was a member and Deacon of the Maple Hill church of Christ. He was a die-hard University of Tennessee football fan, faithfully traveling to Knoxville for many years to watch them play. He loved watching his grandchildren play all sports often traveling many miles to enjoy their games. He was a gifted mechanic. Together with his uncle, Fred VanHook, he owned and operated Reed & Bland Equipment Company, a Massey Ferguson, Kubota tractors and Stihl power tools dealer. He later traveled the southeast for Performance Food Company installing and servicing coffee and juice machines in various businesses. He was a courier for Wilson Bank and Trust and a school bus driver for Wilson County Schools. Charles was also honorably discharged from the TN National Guard. He attended Lebanon High School.

Visitation and service will be held at the Maple Hill church of Christ in Lebanon, TN Friday February 13 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm and visitation Saturday at 12:00 pm with the service to follow at 1:00 pm, Adam Noles presiding. Burial will be at the Cedars Grove Cemetery, Lebanon, TN. Partlow Funeral Chapel in Lebanon, TN will be in charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers are Brady Stovall, John Chaffin, Vince Lanius, Mike Lanius, Keith Harrison, Lee Bowling, Stanley Russell and Bill Bryson. Honorary pallbearers are Pat Agee, Thomas Carney and Pete Hunt.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Maple Hill church of Christ. The family wishes to thank Hearthside Senior Living, Viva Senior Living and American House Senior Living for their wonderful care during his final years.
