Mr. Charles Ervin Thompson, age 80 of Princeton, WV passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Bowers Hospice in Beckley, WV. Born September 8, 1945, in Roderfield, WV he was the son of the late Frank Thompson and Ethel Mullins Thompson. Charles was a member of Poplar Log Missionary Baptist Church in Tompkinsville, KY. He was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed watching old western movies.
In addition to his Parents, he was preceded in death by his Son, James Thompson and Step Son, Bobby Fletcher.
Those left to cherish his memory include his Wife of 36 years, Alice Persinger Thompson; Son, Clifford Thompson- Princeton, WV; Daughters, Barbara Thompson- Jamestown, KY and Ethel Bowles- Lebanon, TN; Step-Daughter, Anna Keen- Glasgow, KY and several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Anthony Funeral Home at 2 PM Monday, February 16, 2026 conducted by Bro. Eddie Wilson. Interment will be in the Drury Cemetery, Macon Co., TN. Visitation with the family will be from 12 Noon to 2 PM Monday at Anthony Funeral Home.
