Carol “Jane” Hawks was born on April 22, 1945 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Howard and Charity Stull. Jane was called home after a full life on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the age of 77.
She is preceded in death by parents (Howard and Charity Stull), brother-in-law (Kirby Hawks), son (Steve Hawks), son-in-law (Ronnie Dillard), brother (Bill Stull) and Husband (Sid Hawks).
Jane graduated from Hutchinson High in 1963. She met the love of her life, Sid Hawks, and married in August of 1963. They celebrated almost 59 years of marriage. She loved her family, friends, and Church. Two places that brought Jane great joy include Sanibel Island, FL and the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. Jane was known for her generous heart.
She will be missed by her church family of Victory Baptist Church, friends, and surviving family: daughter Joani (Darrell) Trout, son Joshua (Kaitlin) Hawks, sister Sue Cone, sister-in-law Margaret Stull, brother-in-law Terry (Collette) Hawks, and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
We are celebrating her life with friends and family on Thursday, December 15, 2022. Visitation is from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 and Thursday, December 15, 2022 10:00 am -11:00 am with service to follow at Sellars Funeral Home (2229 N. Mt Juliet Road Mt. Juliet, TN 37122). Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens (654 W. Division Street Mt. Juliet, TN 37122).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to her favorite charities: Samaritan’s Purse shoebox program and Gideon’s International.
