Buford Nathaniel Bledsoe, age 73 of Mt Juliet, Tennessee was born on October 14, 1950 to William W. and Lauraetta D. Bledsoe. He transitioned peacefully on December 17, 2023.
Buford was educated in the Davidson County Public School System. He graduated from Cameron High School in 1968. He furthered his education at Tennessee State University.
Buford’s relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ began at an early age. In his earlier years, he was a faithful member of First Baptist Church West Nashville under Pastor Henry K. Smith. In his later years, he united with Global Vision Church under the leadership of Pastor Greg Locke.
Buford never met a stranger. He always greeted everyone with a smile and took great joy in sharing the word of God and praying for others. He always shared words of encouragement. He had a sweet, gentle spirit that loved the Lord with all his heart. He loved reading and spending time with family and friends.
Buford was preceded in death by his parents, William W. and Lauraetta D. Bledsoe.; brother William Bledsoe Jr. and niece, Sharon Bowers.
He is survived by his loving family; son, Shanton(Shatika) Bledsoe; daughter, Shavonda N. Bledsoe; three granddaughters, Inari Bledsoe, Martia Hogan, and LeBre’e Cox; two grandsons Jamaal Thompson and Te’Rell Thompson; great-granddaughter, Irani Kirkendoll; great-grandson, Heziah Lemmelle; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
