Brenda Midgett, age 71 of Lebanon, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Louise Smithwick.
She is survived by husband of 46 years, John Michael Midgett; son, Brian Ferrell; daughters, Kelly Midgett and Jennifer (Nathan) Wilkerson; sister, Karen (Johnny) Moore; grandchildren, Hanna and Jade Lehman and Andrew John and Aaron Joel Wilkerson; brothers-in-law, David (Sue) Midgett, Joe (Angie) Midgett & Robin (Danielle) Midgett; sister-in-law, Laurie (Mark) Midgett Raulston; special aunts, Dot Smith and Kathleen Harris; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
Mrs. Midgett was a 1970 graduate of Lebanon High School and a member of College Hills Church of Christ. She worked at the Wilson County Court House for over 25 years as a deputy court clerk for Jimmy Carter Martin and then in the office of Jim Goodall, County Clerk.
She loved going to craft fairs. She enjoyed holidays with Halloween being her favorite. She would take gift bags to many shut ins and loved making people happy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at The Christian Life Chapel, 105 Holloway Dr., from 10 a.m – 1 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joel Speck, Hugh Midgett, Randy Ingram, Perry Ingram, Kenneth Davis, and John Robert Midgett.
